KC Superstar
KC Superstar is an American Idol-like competition where KC Metro high school students compete in a vocal competition. Students go through an initial audition that is acapella in front of a panel of judges. The second round are the top 24 semi-finalists! This round they will meet with the vocal coaches to narrow down song choices and sing along with a track. Then the top 24 will be judged live and will be narrowed down to the Top 10! The top 10 will sing a solo song and participate in a few group numbers live for an audience and a panel of judges. First place received a $10,000 scholarship! Prize money for all top 5 placing competitors.
