STARTING THE NEW YEAR IN FULL SWING

Hello thespians! It’s been a pretty long time since I’ve talked to you all, but I hope you’re all doing well, and that you guys had a great Christmas break! As for mine, it was uneventful, but that doesn’t mean it was at all bad!
Enough filler though, let’s get into what you guys really come here for. First subject I’ll go over will be our Oak Park Theatre fundraising nights. Earlier this month, we held our Panera Bread fundraiser, and I would like to thank anybody who participated in the fundraiser, your help contributes more than you would think! Coming up in March we have MOD Pizza on the 31st from 11 AM – 10 PM. Later in the year we’ll have other food nights, and some different types of fundraisers, such as a night at Powerplay, fundraising with Scentsy, and many others!

Putting the fun in fundraising,

Lastly, I’ll tell you about the shows we’ve got going on right now. The Yellow Boat is starting to kick into gear, as we slowly incorporate tech elements, and expand on our blocking. In addition to Yellow Boat really gearing up, we have also started our rehearsals for Into the Woods. Our cast is really working hard at our rehearsals, making sure the songs get perfected. In addition, crew heads will now have their crew members come to rehearsals as well, so we can really get the show rolling strong! Finally, Kaleighan is working on her original play for Theatre Special Projects! Her play is called The Scars That Made Us, and will perform on April 24. Auditions for this show will be NEXT WEEK January 27th! Get your application here and sign up here to audition! Make sure to have a dramatic monologue ready to perform for your audition!
Well, this was a bit of a shorter update, but I hope you all still found it to be useful, until next time!
